Finding the Courts
Pleasant Hill Tennis Club functions are held on the tennis courts at Pleasant Hill Middle School. The Middle School is part of a complex of education buildings and athletic fields located immediately north of the Pleasant Hill Public Library. To find the courts, go to the intersection of Oak Park Road and Santa Barbara Road (see more directions below) where you will see the sign shown on the right.
From the traffic signal shown above, proceed north (your only choice) on Santa Barbara Road for 0.2 miles. Approximately 50 yards past the speed bump, turn right into the parking lot and head for the green wall (shown at left) at the far end of the lot. The courts are on the opposite side of the wall.
Getting to the Oak Park and Santa Barbara Roads Intersection
From Interstate 680
From the north: Take Exit 48 (Geary Road/Treat Blvd) and get in the right lane of the exit ramp. At the stoplight, turn right on to North Main Street. Go 1/4 mile to the traffic signal (shown at right) immediately AFTER you go under the overpass. Turn left, go one block--following the curve of the road to the left. At the traffic signal, turn right on to Oak Park. Go 0.2 miles to the signal at Santa Barbara shown above. From the south: Take Exit 48 (Geary Road/Treat Blvd). Stay to the left, but not so far left that you return to the freeway. Turn left at the first traffic signal and cross over the freeway. As you approach the traffic signal on the far side, turn right after passing the Shell gas station. Move to the left lane and go 0.3 miles to the traffic signal (shown at right) located immediately AFTER you go under the overpass. Turn left, go one block--following the curve of the road to the left. At the traffic signal, turn right on to Oak Park. Go 0.2 miles to the signal at Santa Barbara shown above.
From Local Addresses
From the downtown Pleasant Hill movie theaters: Travel south on Contra Costa Blvd approximately 1/2 mile. Turn right at the traffic signal immediately before the Oak Park Blvd overpass, go one block--following the curve of the road to the left. At the traffic signal, turn right on to Oak Park. Go 0.2 miles to the signal at Santa Barbara shown above. From other locations: Go to the intersection of Oak Park Blvd and Patterson--there is a Safeway on the corner. You can reach this intersection from the south via Buena Vista Avenue (which becomes Patterson). From other locations, take Pleasant Hill Road to the intersection of Pleasant Hill Road and Oak Park (site of Pleasant Hill Elementary School), turn east (your only choice) onto Oak Park. Go approximately one mile to the first stop light. Once at Oak Park and Patterson, travel east on Oak Park Blvd approximately 0.3 miles to the traffic signal at Santa Barbara.
