2009 HALLOWEEN "TRIPLES" TOURNAMENT A TRIUMPH

Cooordinators Linda Hawk, Lynda Lawrence, Linda Castleton and Anne Harpham combined talents to forge an unforgettable Halloween Tournament. Superman was there as well as other sublime folk. Pictures below by Jim Karas.

LABOR DAY TOURNAMENT, SEPTEMBER 7, 2009

Lynda and Steve Lawrence (first picture below) organized an outstanding, team tennis, doubles (and triples) tournament. Gorgeous day, delicious food and the usual camaraderie made the day complete for those lucky enough to participate. Yes, another PHTC triumph!

Another success for Lily organizing and directing her Father's Day Mixer. Lots of fun, food and frivolity, not to mention tennis and, oh yes, celebrating dads - can't forget them!

MEMORIAL DAY TOURNAMENT May 25 - BATTLE OF THE SEXES!!!!

Linda Hawk, Tournament Director Par Ex-al-lance (seen in Billy Jean wig) invoked "Rule 8" requiring the male side to use old wood racquets (and other "equalizers") for a contentious battle in the spirit of Billy Jean King and Bobby Riggs. The tournament was dedicated to the memory of George Higgins and, of course, to all of our PHTC veterans.

St. Pat's Tournament 2009

Hard working coordinators Robert and Meredith Young provided PHTC members with an outstanding St. Patrick's Day Tournament on March 14th at the blue and green (of course) courts. Lots of great tennis, some sun and high spirits holding off those dreaded "beware the ides of... you know what."
